Mobile bike repair questions

How does mobile bike repair work?

You book a time online, and we drive our workshop to your home or office and service your bike on the spot. You don't need to be there the whole time. Most customers leave the bike out and get a text when it's done, with an after-care summary of the work.

How much does a bike tune-up cost?

Our basic tune-up, The Bypass, is $129. The Quadruple Bypass (Comprehensive Tune-up) is $259 and adds a complete drivetrain deep clean, headset, bottom bracket and hub service, rotor truing and a condition report. The Heart Transplant (Complete Overhaul) is $599, The Check-up (Safety Check) is $84 and new bike assembly starts at $99. Prices are labor only; parts are extra.

How long does a tune-up take?

A basic tune-up takes about 90 minutes and a comprehensive tune-up about two and a half hours. A complete overhaul takes most of a day.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the whole Houston Bay Area, including Clear Lake, League City, Webster, Friendswood, Pearland, Dickinson, Texas City, Pasadena, La Porte, Baytown and Galveston. We also travel to Sugar Land, Missouri City, Katy, Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands and Conroe. See our Service Areas page for the full list.

Is there a travel fee?

Yes, one flat fee per visit set by your ZIP code, the same for any service: none in 77565, then $17, $25 or $55 depending on your zone. Check your ZIP on this page or our Service Areas page. You see the same fee when you book, with no surprises.

What kinds of bikes do you work on?

We work on road, gravel, triathlon, mountain, hybrid, cruiser and kids' bikes, plus e-bikes and adult trikes. That includes electronic shifting from Shimano Di2, SRAM AXS and Campagnolo EPS. E-bikes add $25 and cargo, tandem or recumbent bikes add $35 to a tune-up.

Do you bring parts?

Yes. We carry common tubes, tires, chains, cables, brake pads and bar tape. Special parts are ordered ahead once we know your bike.

What is a waxed chain, and why do you recommend it?

A waxed chain is cleaned to bare metal and coated in hot wax instead of oil. It stays cleaner, runs quieter and wears your chainrings and cassette more slowly. Our membership, The Pulse, swaps in a freshly waxed chain each visit for $47 a month per bike.

Do you assemble bikes bought online?

Yes. We assemble boxed bikes from online retailers and full frame-up builds, tuned and fit to you, starting at $99.

How do I pay?

You pay after the service, once the work is done and you're happy with it.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. All service carries a 30-day labor warranty.

Do you offer a referral reward?

Yes. Send a friend our way: they get $20 off their first service of $84 or more with code FRIEND20, and you get $20 off your next service once their job is done.

Let's get your bike right.

Honest work, fair pricing, and a mechanic who actually wants to help you ride your best. That's the whole pitch.
